Summary Weekly Newsletter, 7th September
The week our video has caught up with the Battery Panic

As I write this, the next video is uploading to YouTube. Our Early Bird Supporters can watch it immediately. Everyone else waits until Wednesday. Here is the thumbnail

Boat Progress
Dave has been focused on electrical stuff. Jane has made lots of progress on multiple sewing projects. (all in the Video).
As today (Saturday) was settled weather, Dave grouped together a bunch of metal work projects to make it worthwhile getting the drill press out from under its tarp shed. There was also the issue that after making the previous busbars on deck, he was told never to never again do any metal work that creates sharp metal fragments on the boat.
Anglesey Coastal Path
We've managed a couple of nice Anglesey Coastal path walks on Monday and Wednesday.
On the Blog this week
- New Video: DIY support arms for guardrail mounted 175 watt solar panels: Our next video brings us close to up-to-date on our Solar installation (you now know the support legs for these panels are coming soon).
- What I miss (and what I don't) living on our boat (even in a boatyard) was very popular
- Working 12V electrics: At last things are connected to power
What's Next?
If you follow Dave on FaceBook you will see he has been a bit more active, struggling with the intersection of what it means to be a Methodist Minister Without Appointment and also be someone with ADHD. Also updates on his weight loss (now over 9kg since moving to the boat, this week included a 48hour fast and experimenting with exercise supposed to help ADHD and other to help with fat loss).
This next week might see a lot of boat news and progress (batteries, motor, wheelhouse and more). Also, we are now expecting to be moved within the boatyard sometime in the next few weeks so that we won't be trapped in when other boats come out of the water at the end of the season.
Lot's more in the wfull weekly newsletter for Paid Subscribers.
If you would like to support SustainableSailing then you can become a member. We have a Free Tier and also an Early Bird Membership (£2 per month or £20 per year).
Both allow you to comment and get updates by email. The Early Bird Membership includes the full weekly(ish) newsletter and usually early access to our videos.
