Summary Weekly Newsletter 12th October
So many things on the go

Our full newsletter is only available to members with an Early Bird Membership (£2 per month or £20 per year).
I'm finding it a bit difficult to remember what's happened this week. It feels like we have been switching between so many different tasks that my head is spinning.
We haven't been out much, no walks this week. Jane went to Aldi, Dave went to B&Q, Screwfix and our container store - possibly not the most exciting week of travel ;-) Although, travel is going to be a bit more difficult around Anglesey for a long while. More problems have been found on the Menai Bridge, so it is only open to cars leaving Anglesey in the mornings and returning in the evenings (fully closed to vehicles overnight).
Electric Motor News
The really exciting news is that our new batteries have arrived, we haven't taken them out of the boxes or brought them on the boat yet (each one weighs just over 60kg!). But we are making progress on jobs that need to be done to make the space for them.
...
We don't know if this will be enough cooling, but we have space to add at least one more radiator if we need to.

Other Boat Progress
Jane finished the second panel for the cockpit enclosure, and it is now fitted. Looks great 😸

She has also been doing lots more insulating of the boat sides.

...
Dave did more wiring. ...
The other big job has been building the extension to the wheelhouse. We have made the central "spine" a bit narrower so it isn't in the way at all when climbing in.

Next steps
For the wheelhouse ...
As temperatures have started to really drop, I want to finish the installation of the Refleks diesel stove.
Still, the big goal is preparing for the electric motor installation (all the wiring and the wheelhouse extension are part of that). The next step for that is to change from the sink draining into a bucket (the bucket is in the way of the new battery installation so it has to go) to going out of the boat into a camping waste water container. ...
Another job this week is for Dave to finish next week's "A word in time" Bible Studies for the Methodist Church website. It's started but normally takes 20 to 30 hours, and it is needed in the next few days.
Videos
Our last long video was in last week's newsletter, I republished it without the corruption that YouTube introduced. We do think it is an interesting one 😄
We have published a YouTube Short every day, and they have been getting lots of views (by our standards). See them all here. As a result, we have increased the number of subscribers to 771 (an increase of 34 in the last 28 days).

Only one this week because we have been so busy: Wheelhouse progress
Bye
That's all for this week. Dave has been struggling a bit with a cold, so will get an early night.
