A wild night
Well the wind and rain happened last night (Thursday 26th September).
Our nearby boat neighbour, Nick, popped his head out with a handheld wind speed gadget and it read 60mph in one gust with 47mph in the lull. It started to increase from about 5pm but didn't fully calm down until about 10am.
I couldn't sleep much, but have had some naps since. So glad we were not at anchor or on a mooring in the Menai Straits, it would have been very scary and uncomfortable.
Despite the weather Jane got 3 coats of top coat on the mast parts. I did a better temporary leak fix where the old mainsheet fitting used to be, we have had a lot of water coming in there this week (only leaked with a North wind and plenty of rain running off the fabric back to the wheelhouse).
Heading home now, just stopped to charge the car at the halfway point. Should be home by half past midnight.
