Our next video is live! We have finished splicing all 6 mizzen shrouds (technically 4 plus 2 forestays) plus the 2 running backstays as well as all 8 chainplate loops. Now all the shrouds & stays need to be stretched to tighten the splices where the weave was opened when

So far today we have tensioned 6 of the 8 mizzen shrouds. All of them tensioned to at least 1,300kg and leaving them at over 1,000 for at least 15 minutes

We have been fitting new carbon fibre stanchions with carbon fibre top rails where we are putting solar panels (4 x 175watt). Here we build prototype adjustable supports so that the panels can be dropped for docking, tilted to follow the sun or to avoid waves when heeling. Shout out

Today I have the prototype adjustable supports for the first side solar panel working. Goes from vertical (folded away) to above horizontal. Lots more to do before a finished solution but this feels like real progress. Video out tomorrow (Saturday) morning all about this.
